OK, I finally got most things back to normal except I need help in several
areas and am hoping I can get some answers here.

1. How do I track cash transactions? I read through a variety of posts and 1
suggestion was to set up a money market investments but I'm lost. I have
several Merrill Lynch accounts and their Cash and Money accounts aren't
recognized in the new portfolio although previous transactions are reported
but I can't add any new transactions
Is their a work around to set something up to track changes to these
accounts each month when I get my statements.
2. The new program won't recognize my Berkshire Hathaway B shares saying
that they contain a transaction type that is not currently supported-what's
with that? Help was no help in explaining this one to me
3. I finally got the custom look to mimic my old portfolio with the
exception of "Cost Basis" and "Avg Cost" to name the 2 I'm most interested
in for now. For the life of me, I can't find anything like those 2 pieces of
info when I am adding fields to my Custom view. Can someone clue me in??

Thanks
Kathy

Never mind on #3- the 2 items are long basis and average long basis
Now if I could only get the subject line to wrap the titles, each cool
wouldn't be so wide and I could get more data on 1 screen without having to
scroll back and forth so much <g>

Use the quote acronym instead of the full name. That will cut out a lot of
space. I have the company name all the way to right and the acronym on the
left. If it is of the screen I don't care.

I've spent a lot of time with this also and basically Microsoft screwed all
of us. There is nothing even close to what Portfolio Manager had.

1. To follow cash transactions I use SWMXX (Schwab money market funds).

2. There are a lot of stocks that give you that error. Don't hold your
breath waiting for Microsoft to add anything. I don't think they ever heard
of 'B' stock.

3. Its impossible to get a custom look exactly like the old. Closest I could
find is Average Long Basis, not what very good, especially if you have long
(>1yr) and short (<1 yr). Try using Total Purchase and Total Return. As long
as you haven't bought, sold and bought again for one company. What happens
then is a joke.
